ALABAMA NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Alabama Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

In addition to our ANCC accreditation, CME Resource is an approved provider through the Alabama Board of Nursing, Provider #ABNP0353.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs and LPNs: Required 24 contact hours every two year licensing period.

APNs: Required 24 contact hours every two year licensing period, a minimum of 6 of the 24 hours must be in pharmacology.

ALASKA NURSES

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs, LPNs, and ANPs: Required two of the following every two year licensing period: 30 contact hours, 320 hours of documented nursing employment, and/or 30 hours in professional activities or volunteer work every two year licensing period.

ANPs with prescriptive authority: Required 12 contact hours in advanced pharmacology and 12 contact hours in clinical management of patients, which may be counted as part of the 30 contact hours.

ARIZONA NURSES

A minimum of 2 contact hours of HIV/AIDS every 10 years, must be approved by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. There is a one-time requirement at initial licensure of 3 contact hours in Domestic Violence and 1.5 contact hours in Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma.

ARNPs are required an additional 5 contact hours in pharmacology each annual licensing period.

RNs and LPNs: Required 30 contact hours every two year licensing period.

Current national certification in specialty will meet requirements for 30 continuing education hours for nursing licensure.
