Study Points

  1. Standardize and improve the collection and review of relevant case details for patients with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and persistent symptoms.
  2. Utilize motivational interviewing when engaging patients for effective engagement and therapeutic alliance.
  3. Provide proper education to patients with mild TBI and persistent symptoms regarding the anticipated trajectory of mild TBI recovery.
  4. Utilize appropriate cognitive rehabilitation strategies to address specific cognitive symptoms.
  5. Develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) treatment goals with patients.
  6. Review aggregate learner performance and discuss outcomes as they relate to real-world care decisions, relevance to practice, and implementation of clinical practice guidelines and recommendations.
  7. Evaluate the impact of the POSITIONED Study cases and facilitated group discussions on cognitive rehabilitation care decisions.
