Frequently Asked Questions for Florida Nurses

How many CE hours do Florida RNs and LPNs need every two years?

Per Florida Board of Nursing, RNs and LPNs must complete 24 contact hours every two years—2 hours of Domestic Violence, 2 hours of Human Trafficking, 2 hours of Florida Laws & Rules, 2 hours of Medical Errors, 1 hour of AIDS/HIV, 3 hours of Impairment in the Workplace (every other renewal), plus additional elective topics to total 24 hours.

Is your Florida Nursing CE provider ANCC-accredited?

Yes. We’re fully ANCC-accredited (FBN #50-353), and every course meets both ANCC standards and Florida Board of Nursing requirements.

How does the automatic CE Broker reporting work?

Once you complete and pass a course, you’ll immediately be able to download a PDF certificate. Within 24 hours of course completion, we report your hours directly to CE Broker—no extra steps or forms required on your end.

Can I complete all required Florida Nursing CEUs online?

Absolutely. Our entire library is 100% online and mobile-optimized. You can finish mandatory courses (Domestic Violence, Laws & Rules, Human Trafficking, etc.) plus elective courses at your own pace, from anywhere.

Do you charge per course or per hour?

We charge a flat annual fee of $39 for unlimited access. That includes all state-mandated courses and any additional electives in our 270+ course library during your 12-month subscription.

When should I renew my Florida Nursing license?

Florida RN/LPN licenses renew every two years. Check the Florida Board of Nursing website for your specific expiration date, then be sure to complete 24 hours of CE before that date to avoid late fees.

Will I get a physical certificate or just a PDF?

You immediately receive a downloadable/printable PDF certificate after passing. If you need a mailed copy, you can print the PDF on your own or request an official sealed copy (shipping fees apply).

Do I need to keep my own records if you report to CE Broker?

It’s always wise to keep your own copies of certificates. However, since we report directly to CE Broker, your official CE report should reflect all completed courses within 24 hours.

Are your courses mobile-friendly?

Yes. All courses are responsive and designed to work on desktop, tablet, and smartphone browsers.

How can I keep track of my completed CE hours?

You may maintain hard copies of your certificates of completion awarded by the CE provider or rely on online transcripts available on your provider’s website.
