Delaware Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Delaware Nurses
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The Delaware Board Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Delaware Board of Nursing accepts NetCE courses.
RNs are required 30 contact hours every two years, 3 of which must be in substance abuse.
LPNs are required 24 contact hours every two years, 3 of which must be in substance abuse.
APRNs must maintain national certification. APRNs with prescriptive authority are required 10 hours in advanced pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics, 2 of which must be in controlled substances prescribing practices, treatment of chronic pain, or related topics per the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
