Connecticut Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Connecticut Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health Social Work Regulation accepts courses from any provider who is ASWB approved.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Connecticut Department of Public Health Social Work accepts NetCE courses.
LCSW and LMSW are required 15 hours each year, 6 of which may be completed by home study.
A minimum of 1 of the 15 hours must be in cultural competency each renewal period. A minimum of 2 hours must be in mental health conditions common to veterans and family members of veterans once every 6 years.
* NetCE courses are considered home study.
