Minnesota Physicians

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice accepts courses from any provider who is ACCME-accredited and awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Continuing Education Requirement

Attention Minnesota Physicians: The Governor’s Emergency Executive Order 20-23 (EO 20-23) has authorized the Board of Medical Practice to defer continuing education reporting requirements until the first full reporting cycle following termination of the peacetime emergency. MDs and DOs are required 75 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ every three years.

NEW Effective January 1, 2020, controlled substance prescribers must complete a one-time requirement of 2 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ on topics relating to best practices in prescribing opioids and controlled substances.
