West Virginia Counselors / Therapists
NetCE has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider,
ACEP No. 6361. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly
identified. NetCE is solely responsible for all aspects of the
programs.
Licensees under the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling may take continuing education from any provider who is NBCC approved.
Continuing Education Requirement
Licensees under the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling may take continuing education from any provider who is NBCC approved.
LPCs are required 35 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed by home study.*
A minimum of 3 of the 35 hours must be in ethics and 2 hours must be in mental health conditions common to veterans or family members of veterans and screening for these conditions every two years. Licensees with supervisory status are required 3 hours in supervision every two years.
LMFTs are required 35 hours every two years, 20 of which may be completed by home study.*
A minimum of 3 of the 35 hours must be in MFT ethics and 2 hours must be in mental health conditions common to veterans or family members of veterans and screening for these conditions every two years. Licensees with supervisory status are required 3 hours in supervision every two years.
* NetCE courses are considered home study.
