South Carolina Dental Professionals

NetCE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The South Carolina State Board of Dentistry accepts courses from any provider who is ADA or AGD approved.

Continuing Education

The South Carolina State Board of Dentistry accepts NetCE courses.

Dentists are required 28 hours every two years. A minimum of 2 of the 28 hours must be dedicated to sterilization and infection control. Licensees authorized to prescribe controlled substances must complete 2 hours related to approved procedures for prescribing and monitoring controlled substances. All hours may be completed by home study.*

Dental Hygienists are required 14 hours every two years, all hours may be completed by home study.* A minimum 2 of the 14 hours of which must be dedicated to sterilization and infection control.

Dental Technicians are required 8 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by home study.*

*NetCE courses are considered home study.
