The Washington State Department of Health Systems Quality Assurance accepts courses from any provider who is ADA or AGD approved.

Continuing Education

The Washington State Department of Health Systems Quality Assurance accepts NetCE courses.

Dentists are required 63 hours every three years, all of which may be completed by self study.* There is a one-time requirement of 3 hours in suicide screening, referral, and imminent harm via lethal means, at first full CE reporting period or first renewal after August 1, 2020.

Dentists licensed to prescribe opioids have a one-time requirement of 3 hours regarding best practices in the prescribing of opioids and applicable rules, at first full CE reporting period or first renewal after January 1, 2019.

Dental Hygienists are required 15 hours each year, all of which may be completed by distance learning.* There is a one-time requirement of 3 hours in suicide assessment that includes screening and referral, at first full CE reporting period or first renewal after August 1, 2020.

* NetCE courses are considered self study/distance learning.
