NetCE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is ADA or AGD approved.
Continuing Education
The Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners accepts NetCE courses.
Dentists are required 40 hours every two years, 20 hours of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 4 of the 40 hours must be in clinical infection control. There is a one-time requirement of 4 hours of bioterrorism required at initial renewal. Dentists authorized or registered to dispense controlled substances are required to complete 2 hours of training related to the misuse and abuse of controlled substances and the prescribing of opioids or addiction. NEW After May 25, 2021, dentists may take 2 hours related to the screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment approach to substance use disorder to fulfill this requirement.
NEW Beginning with renewals on or after January 1, 2024, dentists are required at least 2 hours related to the screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment approach to substance use disorder every renewal.
Dental Hygienists are required 30 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 4 of the 30 hours must be in clinical infection control. There is a one-time requirement of 4 hours of bioterrorism required at initial renewal.
*NetCE courses are considered home study.
