Oregon Dental Professionals

NetCE is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to ADA CERP at www.ada.org/cerp.

The Oregon Board of Dentistry accepts courses from any provider who is ADA approved.

Continuing Education

The Oregon Board of Dentistry accepts NetCE courses.

Dentists are required 40 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 3 of the 40 hours must be related to medical emergencies in a dental office and 2 must be related to infection control every two years. There is a one-time requirement of 1 hour in pain management course specific to Oregon provided by the Pain Management Commission of the Department of Human Services.

Dental Hygienists are required 24 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 3 of the 24 hours must be related to medical emergencies in a dental office and 2 must be related to infection control every two year licensing period.

*NetCE courses are considered home study.
