Dist. Columbia Advanced Practice Registered Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Dist. Columbia Nurses
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The District of Columbia Health Professional Licensing Administration Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement
NetCE is an approved provider through CE Broker, Provider #50-2405.
NetCE will electronically report successful course completions to CE
Broker.
RNs are required 24 contact hours every two years, 3 of which must be in HIV/AIDS and 2 of which must be in cultural competency focusing on patients who identify as LGBTQ.
APRNs are required 24 contact hours every two years, 15 of which must be in pharmacology, 3 of which must be in HIV/AIDS and 2 of which must be in cultural competency focusing on patients who identify as LGBTQ.
