Montana Advanced Practice Registered Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals

Montana Nurses

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Montana State Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

Continuing Education Requirement

The Montana State Board of Nursing accepts NetCE courses.

RNs and LPNs are required 24 contact hours, every two years.

APRNs are required 24 contact hours, every two years.

APRNs with prescriptive authority are required 12 hours in pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacology, and/or clinical management of drug therapy, with a maximum of 2 hours in herbal or complementary therapies. These hours are included in the total 24 hours required for APRN renewal.
