Kansas Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals

Kansas Nurses

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Kansas State Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

Continuing Education Requirement

Attention Kansas Nurses: Executive Order No. 20-49 that extended the expiration date of nursing licenses and the mandatory continuing education requirement has now been extended. Nurses who have licenses that were set to expire in March, April, May and June of 2020 that have not been renewed, must renew by October 15, 2020. These licenses will lapse on October 16, if not renewed. For more information, please visit: https://ksbn.kansas.gov/.

The Kansas Board of Nursing accepts NetCE courses.

RNs, LPNs and APRNs are required 30 contact hours every two years.
