Nevada Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Nevada State Board of Pharmacy accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.

Continuing Education Requirement

Pharmacists are required 30 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by correspondence courses.* A minimum of 15 hours must be in accredited programs. Licensees who live or practice in Nevada must complete 1 hour of state pharmacy law every two years.

Pharmacists authorized to administer immunizations are required 2 hours that address the life cycle of diseases, drugs, and administration of immunizations by October 31st of each year.

Pharmacy Technicians are required 12 hours of in-service training every two years, including 1 hour of Nevada jurisprudence approved by the board.**

*NetCE courses are considered correspondence.

**NetCE does not offer in-service training; however, Nevada pharmacy employers may allow completion of continuing education as a substitution for training.
