Alaska Physician Assistants
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
As a jointly accredited provider, NetCE is authorized to award Category 1 CME Credit to physician assistants certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
The Alaska State Medical Board accepts courses from any provider who is ACCME-accredited and awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™.
Continuing Education Requirement
Attention Alaska Physician Assistants: Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases and an increase in licensing volume, the division has extended the regular licensing period for Medical Board licensees through April 1, 2021. The Board is asking that licensees submit renewal applications as soon as possible to allow ample time for processing. You may check your license expiration date by using the Board's online License Search function. PAs must show evidence of certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) every two years. As a condition of 2018 renewals and thereafter, holders of a valid federal DEA registration number are required 2 hours in pain management and opioid use and addiction.
