Maryland Physicians

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Maryland Board of Physician accepts courses from any provider who is ACCME-accredited and awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

Continuing Education Requirement

Attention Maryland Physicians: An executive order from Maryland’s governor will extend the expiration date of all licenses due to expire during the state of emergency until 30 days after the state of emergency is terminated. MDs and DOs are required 50 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ every two years.

All physicians applying for a new or renewal registration to dispense or prescribe controlled dangerous substances from the Office of Controlled Substances Administration (OCSA) must complete a one-time requirement of 2 hours on the prescribing or dispensing of controlled dangerous substances.
