Oklahoma Physicians CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Oklahoma Physicians
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision accepts courses from any provider who is ACCME-accredited and awards AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
The Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners accepts courses that are AOA Category 1 or AMA PRA Category 1.
Continuing Education Requirement
MDs are required 60 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ every three years.
DOs are required 16 hours of AOA Category 1 or AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ (if maintaining certification through the AMA) each year. Licensees authorized to prescribe are required 1 hour in prescribing controlled dangerous substances every year, which must be obtained at a seminar approved by the Board.
