Arkansas Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals

Arkansas Social Workers

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NetCE maintains responsibility for this course.

The Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board accepts NetCE's courses as long as directly related to the licensee's professional practice.

Continuing Education Requirement

Attention Arkansas Social Workers: Social workers whose licenses expire on March 31, 2020, April 30, 2020 and May 31, 2020 will be allowed to submit all online continuing education hours if needed. For each licensee, the renewal date stays the same. If your renewal is due March 31, 2020, it is still due March 31, 2020. The same is true for April and May. At this time, if someone in March, April or May does not have the 48 required hours when they submit their renewal, the Board will automatically grant up to a 90-day extension to complete the additional hours. If you do not submit the renewal application packet and fee by your expiration date, your license will expire. The Board has made an exception to the Money Order or Cashier’s check policy during these renewal periods only. The Board will be accepting personal checks for March, April and May renewals only. For right now, social workers whose licenses expire after May 31, 2020 and were counting on face-to-face hours that have now been cancelled are asked to look for webinars that are live and interactive. If the webinar is live and interactive, it counts the same as face-to-face. For more information, please visit
