Nebraska Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals

Nebraska Social Workers

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NetCE maintains responsibility for this course.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Board of Mental Health Practice accepts courses from any provider who is ASWB approved.

Continuing Education Requirement

Attention Nebraska Social Workers: As of 6/28/21, the governor has announced that the COVID-19 State of Emergency expires on 6/30/21. As a result, social work licenses that were deferred per Executive Order 20-10 will have their expiration dates extended to 10/31/21, and must be renewed by that date. If the license has already been renewed, this deferral and extension does not apply. Additionally, within the next 30 days, the Licensure Unit will send a postcard to those licensees who have not renewed, advising that they will have until 10/31/21 to renew. For more information, please visit https://dhhs.ne.gov/licensure/Pages/Mental-Health-and-Social-Work-Practice.aspx.
