Nevada Psychologists

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.

Continuing Education Requirement

Psychologists are required 30 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by distance or home study courses.* A minimum of 6 of the 30 hours must be in ethics every two years, 2 hours of which much be in evidence-based suicide prevention and awareness every four years. NEW Beginning with renewals on or after January 1, 2022, two (2) hours relating to cultural competency and diversity, equity and inclusion are required every two years.

*NetCE courses are considered distance or home study courses.
