Nevada Psychologists
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided
through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association
(APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA
CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
The State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.
Continuing Education Requirement
Psychologists are required 30 hours every two years, 15 of which may be completed by distance or home study courses.*
A minimum of 6 of the 30 hours must be in scientific and professional ethics and standards, and common areas of professional misconduct, and 2 hours much be in evidence-based suicide prevention and awareness.
Beginning with collection cycles starting January 1, 2023, all licensees are required
2 hours relating to cultural competency and diversity, equity
and inclusion, every two years. (Licensees with 2023 collection cycles may
take cultural competency in 2022, but should upload to Board no sooner than January
1, 2023.)

Effective January 1, 2024, the cultural competency and diversity, equity and
inclusion requirement increases to 6 hours per collection cycle (NV AB-267 enacted
6/5/2023).
* NetCE courses are considered distance learning or home study courses.
