Montana Nurses CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
Montana Nurses
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The Montana State Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement
Attention Montana Nurses: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Montana Board of Nursing made the decision to waive all continuing education requirements for all licensees renewing in 2020 (even year renewals) and 2021 (odd year renewals). This applies to all medication aide LPNs, RNs, and APRNs licensed in Montana. The Montana State Board of Nursing accepts NetCE courses.
RNs and LPNs are required 24 contact hours every two years.
APRNs are required 24 contact hours every two years, 12 of which must be in pharmacology to maintain prescriptive authority.
