Pennsylvania Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.

Continuing Education Requirement

Pharmacists are required 30 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by correspondence.* A minimum of 2 hours must be in patient safety and 2 hours in pain management every two years.

Pharmacists administering injectable medications, biologicals, and immunizations are required 2 hours related to administering injectable medications, biologicals and immunizations, including, but not limited to: disease epidemiology, vaccine characteristics, injection technique, emergency response to adverse events, and related topics every two years.

Pharmacists identified as mandated child abuse reporters are required 2 hours in child abuse and Reporting every two years.

Pharmacy Technicians are not required continuing education at this time.
