Rhode Island Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians

In support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

NetCE will report your credit to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), provided that you add your NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth to your account. If you select to opt out of entering this information, you agree to not hold NetCE responsible for reporting your credit. The State of Rhode Island of Pharmacy accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.

Continuing Education Requirement

Pharmacists are required 15 hours each year, 10 of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 1 hour must be in law per ACPE each year.

Pharmacists administering immunizations are required 1 hour on the topic of immunizations each year.

Pharmacists participating in a collaborative pharmacy practice agreement are required an additional 5 hours in the area of practice each year.

Pharmacy Technicians are required 10 hours each year, 7 of which may be completed by home study*, and must maintain national certification.

*NetCE courses are considered home study.
