West Virginia Pharmacists CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
West Virginia Pharmacists / Pharmacy Technicians
In
support of improving patient care, NetCE is jointly accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to
provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The West Virginia Board of Pharmacy accepts courses from any provider who is ACPE accredited.
Continuing Education Requirement
Pharmacists are required 30 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 3 hours must be in drug diversion training and best practices prescribing of controlled substances every two years.
Pharmacists with an immunization permit are required 2 hours related to immunizations each year.
Pharmacy Consultants must register with the board each year and are required 15 hours, all of which may be completed by home study.* A minimum of 3 hours must be in consulting practice education each year.
Pharmacy Technicians must maintain national certification.
*NetCE courses are considered home study.
