Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The Ohio State Board of Psychology accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.

Continuing Education Requirement

Psychologists are required 23 hours every two years, all of which may be completed by an APA or OPA approved provider. A minimum of 4 of the 23 hours must be in one or more of the following: professional conduct; ethics; the role of culture, ethnic identity, or both in the provision of psychological assessment, consultation, or psychological intervention.
