Vermont Psychologists

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

The Vermont Board of Psychological Examiners accepts courses from any provider who is approved by the American Psychological Association.

Continuing Education Requirement

Psychologists are required 60 hours every two years, 24 of which may be completed by independent study (APA approved). A minimum of 6 of the 60 hours must be in ethics and at least 1 hour in the area of systematic oppression and anti-oppressive practice, or in related topic areas (cultural competency, cultural humility, anti-racism) every two years.

*NetCE courses are considered independent study.
