Colorado Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals

Colorado Social Workers

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NetCE maintains responsibility for this course.

The Colorado State Board of Social Work Examiners accepts NetCE's courses as long as directly related to the licensee's professional practice.

Continuing Education Requirement

The Colorado State Board of Social Work Examiners accepts NetCE courses.

LCSWs, LISWs, LSWs, and RSWs are required 40 hours every two years, 20 of which may be taken in the category of coursework.* The remaining 20 hours may be completed by independent learning.**

* NetCE courses are considered coursework when the participant reads a course, completes the required test, submits payment, and receives a certificate of completion. Participants may obtain 20 of their required PDH hours through coursework.

** NetCE courses are considered independent learning when the participant accesses and reads a course for free on our website, www.netce.com.
