North Carolina Social Workers CE Requirements, Accreditations & Approvals
North Carolina Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. NetCE maintains responsibility for this course.
The North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board accepts courses from any provider who is ASWB approved.
Continuing Education Requirement
Attention North Carolina Social Workers: Temporary Rules for renewal were enacted in April 2020. The rules waived the requirement for the limited distance learning, allowing for all continuing education hours to be obtained through approved distance learning (ASWB or NASW-NC). These provisions apply to continuing education completed during the active period of the temporary rule which expired 4/11/2021.
