Vermont Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, NetCE is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
The Vermont Office of Professional Licensing & Registration accepts courses from any provider who is ASWB approved.
Continuing Education Requirement
The Vermont Office of Professional Licensing & Registration accepts courses from any provider who is ASWB approved.
LICSW are required 20 hours every two years, 5 of which may be completed by informal educational activities.*
A minimum of 1.5 of the 20 hours must be in ethics, including such issues as boundaries, confidentiality, and dual relationships and at least 1 hour in the area of the systematic oppression and anti-oppressive practice, or in related topic areas (cultural competency, cultural humility, anti-racism) every renewal. .
LMSW are required 10 hours every two years, all of which must be formal educational activities.
