Appropriate CME Resource courses fulfill the requirements for recertification for Certified Nurses in the Operating Room (CNOR) set forth by the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN).

ALABAMA NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Alabama Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

In addition to our ANCC accreditation, CME Resource is an approved provider through the Alabama Board of Nursing, Provider #ABNP0353 (valid through December 12, 2017).

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs and LPNs: Required 24 contact hours every two year licensing period.

APNs: Required 24 contact hours every two year licensing period, a minimum of 6 of the 24 hours must be in pharmacology.

ALASKA NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Alaska Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs, LPNs, and ANPs: Required two of the following every two year licensing period: 30 contact hours, 320 hours of documented nursing employment, and/or 30 hours in professional activities or volunteer work every two year licensing period.

ANPs with prescriptive authority: Required 12 contact hours in advanced pharmacology and 12 contact hours in clinical management of patients, which may be counted as part of the 30 contact hours.

ARIZONA NURSES

CALIFORNIA NURSES AND PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIANS

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The California Board of Registered Nursing and the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technician Examiners accept courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

DIST. COLUMBIA NURSES

The District of Columbia Health Professional Licensing Administration Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

FLORIDA NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Florida Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accedited.

In addition to our ANCC accreditation, CME Resource is an approved provider through the Florida Board of Nursing, CE Broker Provider #50-2405.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs, LPNs, and ARNPs: Required 24 contact hours every two year licensing period.

  • 2 of the 24 contact hours must be in Medical Errors Prevention, (every two year licensing period),
  • Beginning with the biennium ending in 2015, each licensee shall complete a 2 hour course on the Laws and Rules that govern the practice of nursing in Florida ,
  • Additional 2 contact hours in Domestic Violence (every 3rd renewal), and
  • There is a one-time requirement during first renewal of 1 contact hour in HIV/AIDS.

GEORGIA NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Georgia Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs and APRNs: Beginning with the biennium ending 2016, each licensee must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two year renewal period.

LPNs: Beginning with the biennium ending 2016, each licensee must complete 20 hours of continuing education every two year renewal period.

IOWA NURSES

KENTUCKY NURSES

CME Resource is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The Kentucky Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

In addition to our ANCC accreditation, CME Resource is an approved provider through the Kentucky Board of Nursing, Provider #7-0054 through 12/31/17.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs, LPNs, and ARNPs: Required 14 contact hours each annual licensing period. A minimum of 2 contact hours of HIV/AIDS every 10 years, must be approved by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. There is a one-time requirement at initial licensure of 3 contact hours in Domestic Violence and 1.5 contact hours in Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma.

ARNPs are required an additional 5 contact hours in pharmacology each annual licensing period.

LOUISIANA NURSES

The Louisiana State Board of Nursing and the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners accept courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

NEW HAMPSHIRE NURSES

The New Hampshire Board of Nursing accepts courses from any provider who is ANCC accredited.

CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

RNs and LPNs: Required 30 contact hours every two year licensing period.

APRNs: Required 30 contact hours every two year licensing for nursing licensure, and additional 30 hours specific to the area of advanced practice specialization, 5 of which must be in pharmacology. Current national certification in specialty will meet requirements for 30 continuing education hours for nursing licensure.

  • Fifteen (15) contact hours of continuing education activities and developing and conducting a nursing education presentation or presentations totaling a minimum of five contact hours for nurses or other health professionals to include a copy of program brochure or course syllabi, objectives, content and teaching methods, and date and location of presentation; or
  • Fifteen (15) contact hours of continuing education activities and 640 hours of active practice within the previous two (2) years.

APRNs: Required to complete 50 contact hours each annual year licensing period, a minimum of 20 of the 50 hours must be granted by the ANCC or other national credentialing body.

OKLAHOMA NURSES

OREGON NURSES
